Just a quick question. Just for fun, I thought it would be cool to redesign the take-home menu for an audience of a past time period or hypothetical future one. This still falls into the realm of changing the menu to fit the requirements of shifting the audience, context, and so on. I was just wondering if this was acceptable. For example, Jimmy Johns for the Victorian Era or something equally obscure.
I would advise not pursuing this option, because I don't think you could legitimately support your analysis of the needs of a fictional or anachronistic group. That is to say, I doubt you would be able to provide strong evidence for your design choices, because you would have to rely too much on ungrounded speculation rather than analysis.
