11/9 Post Draft Materials

By Wednesday (11/11) at 10:00 am, your group should make a blog post that contains the following items:

Your draft Proposal (as an attachment)
Your draft posters (as attachments)
A form that solicits feedback from the reviewers of your draft Proposal and draft posters by explaining precisely what they should evaluate and how (in the body of your blog post)

Make certain to have this material posted by the deadline. You should give yourself enough time so that you can contact Jeremy if you encounter difficulties.

11/4 Activity

This activity is designed to help you get some basic experience with digital image manipulation.

Go to http://people.uncw.edu/tirrellj/pracimag.png.
Save the image to your desktop.
Open the image in Adobe Fireworks.
Try cropping, editing, and transforming the image.
Add text to the image.
Experiment with the program to identify other image manipulation possibilities.

We will share some of our work in class.

Service Learning Exercise

Locate an example of a service learning project online, and then post a comment of at least 200 words that responds the following prompts:

Paste the project's link.
Summarize the project.
Explain what skills and/or knowledge students obtain from the project.
Explain how a community or organization benefits from the project.
Provide a definition of service learning. What commonalities do all service learning projects share?
