Remember that the final version of your Design Plan and a draft version of your website are both due on Thursday (2/1).

Remember to bring in a statement of purpose for your group's website on Tuesday (two copies: one for me and one to use in class). You will share your individual statements of purpose with your group members on Tuesday and work toward producing a complete design plan.

To write a statement of purpose, you must think about your website's sense of purpose, audience, and context. There is information about how to write a statement of purpose on pages 40-41 of Compose, Design, Advocate excerpt 1. You also can look at the example on pages 53-54 of Compose, Design, Advocate excerpt 2.

Remember to do three things for Thursday (1/11):

• bring a filled-out Course Survey and Contract to class if you didn't turn one in on Tuesday
• bring a song to class in mp3 format or on CD
• read the Project 1 introduction

We will go over Project 1 on Thursday and we will have a guest speaker come in to give us the details.
