FINAL Individual Activity Report [aka "Dead" Week (Or why I should have taken creative writing instead)]

Ahhh dead week. More like AAAAAAAA DEAD WEEK!!

Dead like zombies are dead. An awful dead. Moaning and groaning with gnashing of teeth and cries for brains....well there's 27 words. Basically what I'm trying to say is that this was a rough week. Almost zombie apocalypse rough but not quite. Zombie epidemic perhaps?

Although I was bogged done with projects, papers, etc. I still managed to find some time for some good old fashioned rough draft polishing. Probably one of my least favorite things about writing. In fact final drafts are basically like zombies (Dawn of the Draft?) You write a paper and think you're done then all of a sudden WHAM! BAM! FINAL DRAFT! The undead of paper writing. You may think you're done but oh how wrong you are. However to ensure that your product is of as high of quality as possible it is definitely an important step. Producing a paper, even with a few typos or inaccuracies, can greatly effect both your image and the image of your company.

I looked over my part of the white paper, added some things to better fill it out and gave it a read out loud (quite helpful). As I said in earlier writings, sometimes things sound better when you type them but when you read them out loud, they sound awkward. Especially if you think faster than you type. Plus even the all mighty spell check can't catch everything.

I also volunteered to recompile our white paper. After everyone fixed their parts, they sent them to me and I put it all together ironing out any little (or large) wrinkles. Considering I was busy towards the end of week I would have liked to have had the pieces sooner but what can you do. Everyone is busy this time of year....busy preparing for the zombie apocolypse.

I like this metaphor quite a bit. Writing projects never really die, but live on to be revised again and again. Good work!
