Lievense Work Blog Week #8

This was a very productive week for my group. I started the week by writing the weekly group activity report, which is one of my responsibilities for the group. I then looked at the comments made by the CFRC and began to think about changes that needed to be made to the text. As a group we decided to have a meeting on Monday using instant messenger. This was a new experience for me, because I had little experience using AIM. I discussed with two of my other group members the overall look of the brochure as well as the text changes to be made. It was decided that the text team of our group would split the brochure into two, and I would focus on the middle panels of the document. I started with the minor changes that were discussed by the CFRC. The area I concentrated on most was the "Can't be there on Christmas" section. The comments had said the text did not flow well and it seemed to read like notes. I added simple connecting words and rearranged others to make it seem less sterile. The original text was consise, but it was not pleasing to read. I think my changes helped to make this section match the rest of the text in the brochure. Finally, I will be writing the last Group Activity Report for my group this week.
