Space’s Time is Now

This talk, part of a special panel at the 2011 Computers and Writing Conference, suggests that disciplinary history heretofore has been largely driven by personal connections and thus is private and insular. The talk asserts that Computers and Writing as a field has become established enough to move away from an inclusive, hegemonic narrative toward a polyphony of different threads, themes, movements, and sites. Approaching history through a geographical rather than biographical or chronological lens fosters such enrichment.
