Reminder for Thursday (8/23)

I sent an email reminding students of what is due on Thursday (8/23). If you didn't get the email, please speak to me in class. We have four things due for Thursday (8/23):

• Read the Project 1 introduction
• Read Beyond Words excerpt 1
• Comment on reading response 1
• Bring a song to class as an .mp3

Remember that the password for Beyond Words excerpt 1 and all other online readings is "tirrell." This file is fairly large, so it may take a little while to download, particularly if you are off campus.

The course website may be a little flakey for a few days. Because of this, it is a good idea to compose material for the website (such as your comment for reading response 1) in an external application (like Word or Notepad) and copy and paste it over. This way even if the page fails to load, you won't have lost any of your writing. This is good habit to practice all the time.
