Data map first draft

The sense of purpose of this map is to inform students at Purdue University(the audience) where the best places to find a computer if necessary. The title and the key draw me to that conclusion. The context of this map would probably be in a technology guide brochure for students at the university. The photo of the university along with the key and topic lead me to that conclusion. The strategies that this map uses include the use of a familiar photograph(the campus map) to help people to realize visually where they can likely find networks for the computers. The medium will likely be in a brochure, although it could be potentially in a computer lab as a poster, so that you know where you can locate the proper networks. This map is arranged well, as a color-coated map and key, so that it is easy to read. By doing this, it informs the people about wher to find a computer network. The strongest element of this document is the arrangement. It is very readable and simple. However, my only drawback is that the colors in the key don’t really match that well with any of the colors in the map. This has a lot of potential, once that is fixed.
