Salmonella Strain in Peanut Butter to Be Eliminated

Lynchburg, VA, - January 13th, 2009 – On January 10th, 2009, a container of peanut butter in a Minnesota long-term care facility produced by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) was found to contain a strain of salmonella. PCA today announced the voluntary recall of its suspected peanut butter products.

Press Release

Purpose: My purpose in creating this communication is to provide swimmers who are comfortable with themselves in the water an evacuation route, if you will, if they were to find themselves in a rip current. My hope for this communication is to provide the swimmers with the knowledge to recognize and react to being within a rip current. The best possible outcome to be achieved with these instructions is for swimmers to immediately react and remove themselves from a rip currents force.

Purpose: My goal in creating this communication is to provide a detailed plan of action for individuals who are novice swimmers, with little to no ocean swimming experience, who find themselves struggling in a rip current. My hope for this communication is to by better informing novice swimmers that they will remain calm and collected in the rush of a rip current. The best possible outcome for this audience in following the instructions is to safely escape the rip current and return to the safety of the shore.
