Summary:For this assignment, students working in groups will develop material for a book to be released by the North Carolina Azalea Festival, who will function as our client. Under the client's direction, student groups will research the festival's history, identify appropriate archival material, and generate corresponding original content. The client will provide feedback, which will have a direct impact on students' project grades. During the production process, students will maintain a Gantt chart for project management and submit weekly individual progress reports. Through this project, students will practice working collaboratively to produce professional materials for an authentic client. In so doing, students will demonstrate their understanding of audience awareness, research, ethos, professionalism, and document design. All materials created for this project become the exclusive property of the client. If clients are unable to provide project feedback within an appropriate time frame, the instructor will make all project grading decisions.
