Overview

In this assignment you will apply stylistic analysis to your own work and make corresponding revisions. To complete it you will select four of your own written works (the works can be academic or not; it is fine to use this assignment as an opportunity to revise materials for other courses). You will improve the use of style in two of the works and shift the style of the other two. This assignment gives students the opportunity to make intentional improvements to existing textual styles and experiment with changing the style of works to suit different rhetorical situations.

Each of the two texts to improve should include:

1. A current draft of the text
2. A list of three stylistic features that are currently effective with evidence from current draft
3. A list of three stylistic features that could be strengthened with discussion of how to institute such changes
4. A revised draft reflecting the discussed improvements

1. A current draft of the text
2. A discussion of the text's current style and how it might be significantly shifted to suit a different rhetorical situation
3. A revised draft reflecting the discussed changes

Submission

You should submit the portfolio as a single file. This can be accomplished in multiple ways:

• Collect the different documents into a single Word (or other word processor) file
• Export the different documents to .pdf and merge them into a single file
• Collect the different documents in one folder and zip it into a single archive
