Guidebook Proposal

The form and content of the current UNCW Guide to First-Year Composition are in flux. After the reviewing the guide, examining similar university guides, and speaking to current UNCW instructors about student needs, students working in small groups will make formal guidebook proposals. These proposals will contain the following:

  • A brief (~3 pages) written overview of the proposed guidebook articulating what it would contain and defending why this would be beneficial
  • The table of contents from the proposed guidebook
  • Sample material that would be contained in the proposed guidebook

Proposals will be evaluated on their persuasiveness. The more complete and well-thought-out a proposal is the higher it will score.
