Teaching Philosophy

Each student will submit a researched teaching philosophy statement in MLA format of no more than six pages plus a Works Cited page. This document should incorporate at least three works of composition theory drawn from the course reader or other sources. Teaching philosophies are an opportunity for students to place theoretical works in conversation and triangulate their own positions as composition teachers within this discipline. Students thus should identify the theoretical elements they adopt and those they reject.

Teaching Philosophies will be submitted via email in an electronic format before class on April 1.
