Each student will analyze a journal article that is relevant to the material we encounter in class. By analyzing secondary works we will gain a broader understanding of the primary material, and we will assemble a bank of sources that may be used in our papers. Analyses should be two pages long and do the following:
Students will sign up for a class period to present their Journal Article Analyses. Presentations should include discussion and be no shorter than 10 minutes. Analyses also will be collected electronically to create a class set. There are many places to find appropriate journals, but if you are not certain where to look, you might check through the indices appended below. You can simply search through some journal issues for topics that catch your eye, or you can do a more focused exploration for articles about a particular topic, theme, or figure.
