To complete this assignment, work in pairs and follow the instructions for number 1 on page 307, which read:

You are employed by a small manufacturer of all-organic ready-to-eat breakfast cereals. The company would like to develop its sales overseas, especially in China. Because ready-to-eat cereals would be relatively new to the majority of the population in China, your package will have to include instructions on how to prepare and eat a serving of cereal. Compose step-by-step instructions, including rough illustrations, to fit on the side of the package.

Feel free to make your design by hand or use a word processor such as Microsoft Word to complete this assignment. You should create original materials or find ones suitable for this usage (a Creative Commons search may help here). Keep the design's audience and spatial limitations in mind (it must fit on the side of a cereal box). Once you have finished, electronic files should be emailed to the instructor; designs created by hand can be kept. We will share our designs in class to see how others approached this problem.
