Please name and define the positive group member roles that you came up with in a comment below. Please just make one comment per group to keep things manageable.
Positive Group Member Roles

The Leader(s) - Makes sure the entire group is on task and that the total work is divided up evenly between all the group members.

The Suggester - Always open for peer edits, always the go-to person for suggestions and things to improve on; Useful for getting good feedback on projects

The Reliable One - keeps group members on task and always has his/her part done (or where it is supposed to be at any given time)

Positive Roles:

Editor role: quality control or fine-tuner

evaluation critic: Evaluates the proposals against a predetermined or objective standard. Assesses the reasonableness of a proposal and looks at whether it is fact-based and manageable as a solution.

coordinator/manager: making sure that all group members’ contributions form a cohesive whole, speaking with the client and addressing the needs for the site.

Roles

Leader - A group needs a leader, and even sub-leadership roles to take care of issues when the leader is unavailable. It is someone who can take charge and make important decisions.

Supporter - If someone needs help with something, takes extra effort to help everyone else.

Designer/Artist - Designs and makes most artistic decisions and implements. Can be one or multiple people.

Constructive Criticizer - Someone who is brutally honest when needed. Knows when to say what's right and encourage others to improve their work in specific ways.

Other vetoed roles - Code monkey, male cheerleader, facilitator

Group Awesome

Leader/Manager - Someone who keeps everyone organized and on-task.

Explainer - Explains things to group members that they are not familiar with.

Over-eager helper - A person who gets tasks done quickly and efficiently. He also offers help to other group members on additional segments of the project.

Active Listener - A person who takes all of the considerations and opinions of the other group members into account and actively incorporates it into his portion of the work.

The Legion

Tech Guru - Highly proficient in technical concepts and willing to inform and teach others.
Tech-Savvy Editor - Ability to spot errors or improve upon particular aspects of project execution.
The Light-Bulb - Able to produce unique and innovative ideas to benefit the group and project... and can dodge bullets.
The PDA - Able to organize group meetings and help keep group members focused on the objectives... and can also connect to wi-fi.
