This is a partial list of aesthetic manifestos. (Keep in mind that it is biased toward Europe and the USA because many such works do not have English translations.) Reading a manifesto is necessary but not sufficient for an appropriate understanding of the corresponding aesthetic attitude, movement, or school; you must do supplementary research. Also, some manifestos are dense, jargon-filled, cryptic, ergodic or otherwise difficult to comprehend, so prepare to expend some concentration.
