Summary:

The Altoids Tin Game Project asks students to engage core Professional/Technical writing tasks by producing a tangible rule-governed system for a specific context and revising according to usability testing.

Each student will create an original game that can fit within an Altoids tin. (Examples are available through an online search.) Each student will be provided with an Altoids tin; 3D printing resources also will be available. Students will compose supporting textual documents to articulate how their design decisions respond to rhetorical concerns regarding audience, context, purpose, and construction. Students also will give brief presentations (≤3 minutes) to share this information.
