All student groups will lead workshops (not a static lecture) of approximately 15 minutes covering a tool that could be used to create a promotional demo for our project. Each workshop should have a corresponding handout that will be submitted to the instructor as an emailed attachment for distribution to the class. Also, workshops must incorporate some form of practical class activity. Workshops should follow the following general structure:
The instructor station (computer and projector) will be available to presenters. Groups will determine how to divide the workload. Students are not expected to be experts with their chosen tool; delivering the workshop is a means to gain experience with it. Groups are not required to use the tool they cover in their workshop to produce their own project demo. Excellent workshops will be rehearsed, on time, polished, and deliver productive information in an engaging and readily comprehensible way. |
