When searching for "CD Promotion" on Google I kept getting CD Promotional Videos that appear on Youtube. Yes, they are not the bset stuff. I have attached some links below (I tried to find the cheesiest ones possible, and don't listen to it all the way through):

My first cassette tape as a child was River of Dreams (see link above). This particular CD cover reminds me of pieces from Bosch--there is a lot going on. Also, when first seeing a Bosch painting I was disturbed (but intrigued) by the subject matter, and although Billy Joel's Rivers of Dreams is not so shocking...I was 10 and there was a naked couple on the cover.

During the class discussion today we talked about authority. People are more likely to listen to people they believe are credible sources. It makes sense and it is a part of life. I thought an article from a designer’s perspective might provide insight on the process of design. While looking at some of the covers today, I wondered why the designer chose that design, how much freedom they had and what their overall concept was. After reading Patrick Duffy’s article, I was able to at least get an idea of what a designer is thinking and what tips he recommends.
