This podcast examines Dibbell's "A Rape in Cyberspace" as a way of considering how digital bodies are called into being by speech acts in the digital domain. Notably, digital bodies are called into being by language, often collaboratively. I want to inquire, then, how we might begin to think about identity production as a product of community action.

Bonus Comment: Althusser!
I was just listening and your comment about how each Facebook post "calls" you reminded me of Althusser's 'interpellation.' If this were facebook I would tag you or something, and I'm sure you considered it when doing your podcast. It's a great podcast, definitely raises some good questions and hopefully some other people throw down some awesome comments for ya! :-)
