Draft and Usability Test 1

To complete this assignment, bring to class:

  • a draft of your instruction set that can be tested in our classroom (this will be used in class and then turned in to the instructor)
  • any other items that are required for someone to use your instruction set
  • three printed copies of a corresponding usability test (two of the copies will be used for testing and one will be turned in to the instructor)

During class you will administer your usability test to your fellow classmates. Consider this activity to be a form of peer review, which means that its benefit is manifold: you will receive feedback that you can use to revise your instruction set draft; you will get exposure to the drafts of other students in the same situation as you; you will practice constructing usability tests, an important professional genre.
