Working in pairs, students will identify a place in the greater Wilmington area where class will meet. Locations need not be conventionally significant; quotidian places can be productive sites when examined through different lenses. Locations should be accessible to all class members to make meeting feasible. Student pairs will produce associated information packets about their chosen locations. Assertions should be buttressed with evidence, including scholarly sources. Packets can be in any medium and should provide substantial content (such as several pages of text and/or comparable electronic works including maps, videos, location data, etc.). Packets should explicate the corresponding spaces by addressing issues such as:
Field Trip Packets will be submitted electronically and shared on this website. Tangible versions can be distributed during the corresponding field trip if practical. When on site, student pairs will walk through their material with class members to help orient them to the location. Students are not responsible for producing a Response on the week they lead a field trip. |
