    Service Learning Project: Tool Workshop

Each student group will lead a workshop (not a static lecture) of no more than 10 minutes covering a tool that could be helpful to our production process. Workshops might cover, for example, document creation tools (such as Adobe Illustrator or Canva), usability survey tools (such as Google Forms or SurveyMonkey), or group communication tools (such as Slack or Yammer). Workshops must incorporate some form of hands-on class activity.

The instructor station (computer and projector) will be available to presenters. Not all group members must be presenters; groups can divide the full project's workload internally. Students are not expected to be experts with their chosen tool; delivering the workshop is a means to gain experience with it. Groups also are not required to use the tool they cover in their own workflows. Excellent workshops will be rehearsed, on time, polished, and deliver productive information in an engaging and readily comprehensible way.
