    Challenge 1: Mission Statement

    • Due Feb 2, 2021 by 11am
    • Points 5
    • Submitting a website url or a file upload

This challenge is focused on your newly formed group's identity and mission statement. To complete this challenge, submit a document of approximately two pages with the following:

    1. A one-sentence mission statement that articulates your group's name, identity, and goals
    2. A discussion of why you believe your mission statement is effective that references at least two sources. (Your group can find sources by searching for information on activist organizations' mission statements or nonprofit organizations' mission statements.)
    3. A discussion of what your group learned from at least two other specific example mission statements. (You can select similar mission statements, opposed mission statements, or anything in between. Your goal is to identify examples that informed your process.)

The document does not require a bibliography, but you should provide sufficient information in the text to allow your reader to locate your sources. This commented example from a previous class may be helpful (although the prompt was slightly different).
