    Challenge 3: Social Media Hashtag

    • Due Mar 2, 2021 by 11am
    • Points 5
    • Submitting a website url or a file upload

This challenge is focused on creating and establishing a social media hashtag. To complete it, go through the following steps:

    1. Select a social media service that uses hashtags (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
    2. Create an account for your organization and customize it with appropriate information (such as a "bio" and images).
    3. Invent a hashtag associated with your organization's goals. (More successful hashtags tend to target a specific event, trend, or theme.)
    4. Make one or more posts from your organization's account and other accounts (if possible) to establish your hashtag.
    5. Compose a one- to two-page document that includes:
      1. Your organization's social media service and handle
      2. Your hashtag
      3. A discussion of what you seek to accomplish with your hashtag (please mention if your hashtag gained any broader usage)
      4. A discussion of two other hashtags created by other people or organizations that served as useful examples (be sure to cover what you learned from them)

You can consult the information shared during the Tool/Technique Workshops for assistance. Also, you can contact the instructor if you would like to complete this assignment using a social media service that does not use hashtags.
