Usability Test(s)
- Due Apr 18 by 9:30am
- Points 10
- Submitting a website url or a file upload
Each group will create and administer at least one structured test to obtain information about the subjects' inputs (types of content and material that they commonly present), outputs (common presentation formats), and usability feedback over Gamma.app. Groups may use one test for both faculty and students or separate tests for the two groups.
The first two items, inputs and outputs, likely are basic survey questions for subjects. To obtain usability feedback, groups should either have subjects use Gamma.app and record information about their experience (a performance test) or demonstrate Gamma.app and collect structured feedback from the subjects about how it functions. The goal is to identify useful information backed by evidence that Gamma.app could use to refine their product and better suit academic users in different subject areas.
Groups can administer their usability tests in person or remotely. Group members likely will need to collect feedback from faculty members individually (perhaps during office hours); groups can collect feedback from students individually or collectively as a focus group.
Groups will submit blank usability tests to this assignment.
