I rated these instructions on the medium used and how well it worked with the directions. Personally, I do not like long extensive directions with no pictures. The ones I rated highest had great pictures and discriptions. The ones I rated the lowest had few pictures or were hard to read.

1. Google Docs Instruction Manual (Very well organized, table of contents, Description of Events, Well-used graphics and steps are very easy to understand)

2. How to Tune Your Guitar (Table of Contents, Introduction and Dictionary, explaining paragraph, Pictures or diagrams at each step with use of italicized font for key words)

3. How to Format Flash/Hard Drive (Introduction, Graphics, and nice walk through of steps with pictures to guide audience)

I decided on how to order mine by professional looks, labling correctly, and how easy to understand the instructions were. One had font too small(I felt the age group of the audience could be older), some were crunched too small and needed to be spread out better, and a lot of them had their warnings at the end of the step/instructions instead of at the begnning.

These all had really great instructons with picture sets. The reason why i picked google docs as the best was because it gave some troubleshooting advice and had an extensive table of contents which is great. The reason why throwing a bowling ball was ranked 10 is that i think the medium for this instruction set would have been better if it were a video or an actual instructor.

6.crem brulee- beginners may need more help in some steps
7.Tune guitar- nice equipment wouldn't always expect to have it
8.remington- good picture breakdown, but if unfamiliar with guns it is hard to follow.
9.ebay-a lot about turbo list instead of ebay
10.google docs- very very busy

1 How to Tune Your Guitar- I thought that this method was very effective and the booklet style/format was helpful.

2 Crème Brulee Made Easy- This set of directions was very simple and the step by step pictures corresponding to the directions were good.

3 Preparing a Fillet- This is very concise and hard to mess up when you follow the directions. Could use more pictures

4 How to Throw a Hook with a Bowling Ball- Simple and effective. The real step by step instructions help.

5 Changing a Bike Tire- I would say that this writer had good intentions when writing this, but fell short and almost lacked directions

6 Remington Model 870 Disassembly- This is a simple yet effective method to clean a gun. It is kind of hard to having an interesting set of directions for something that is hard to get excited about.

7 How to Format Flash/Hard Drive- The author over-analyzed what they are doing

8 Microsoft Outlook 2007 E-mail Setup- This was horribly boring and I think that I would fall asleep if I was trying to actually follow the directions.

9 eBay Instructions- This is helpful but needs more images

10 Google Docs Instruction Manual Way too much. Who is going to read something that long, there are some points where there is too much text.

I would definately rate the how to make creme brulee as number one because the directions came with clear pictures for each step, the instructions were informative but to the point, and the warnings stood out. The how to change a bike tire was next. The directions were good for the same reasons as the creme brulee but the directions were not as descriptive. How to format a flash drive was 3rd. How to dissemble a gun was next because the first page was too cluttered. How to bowl was fifth, how to tune a guitar was sixth, and eBay instructions were seventh. Google instructions were 8th because it was too long and fillet was ninth because it didn't have enough pictures. The last was how to do an e-mail setup because the numbers repeated and became confusing.
