Design Plan 2

PURPOSE:
To effectively communicate how to use the BlackBerry Messenger application.

AUDIENCE:
Service provider employees who mus demonstrate to customers how to use the device.

CONTEXT:
Will be given instructions when either first entering the job or when first being introduced to the BlackBerry. Accessing instructions at the workplace.

STRATEGIES:
Given in a print-out format. Minimal images, have access to phone already. Average size font, more in depth details. Business-like format.

MEDIUM:
Print-out format, easy to distribute throughout the workplace.

ARRANGEMENT:
Step-by-step walk through. Helpful as to what consumers might get confused about. Trouble shooting section at end.

TESTING:
Give instructions to service provider employees, see if they can successfully comprehend the steps.

Blackberry experts

The most thorough element is your strategies. They are very defined.

The least thorough is again the testing. The testing is probably the hardest for all the instruction sets. Will you actually be able to give an instruction set to a set of employees to see if they can comprehend the steps?

This instruction set is again very different from mine. I am working with kids in both settings. This group is even more familiar with the subject and therefore more familiar with the jargon that goes with it. My groups are mostly beginners.

The instructions could also be an online booklet for the employees. They would be able to click on different links based on what the customer needs.
