Subject: Employee Video Scandal

A few days ago a video was released by two of our national employees. For those of you who haven't seen the footage, this video was filmed inside their Domino's store of employement, located in Conover, SC. The employees proceeded to film themselves making fun of the Domino's name and vandalizing foods on the prep line in an obscene manner. The employees took reckless purpose in the unsanitary conditions they were causing.

This film was released to the public through YouTube, and Dominos has received numerous complaints. As you can see, these particular employees behaved in a completely unprofessional and irresponsible manner, and customers have every right to hold us in serious concern. We at Dominos corporate are deeply dissapointed that this type of behavior could be exemplified here at Dominos. The employees in the video have been terminated and are facing felony charges. We want to ensure the understanding that this type of incident is not under any circumstances tolerated.

Beginning this month, each store nation-wide will be holding a mandatory meeting to review important sanitation and behavioral standards. Each store general manager will be in charge of scheduling this meeting and monitoring attendance. As an employee of Dominos, you are expected to uphold the Dominos brand with pride. There is absolutely no reason to offend our customers; it is our job to provide them with the quality and trusted ingredients they expect.

We also know that these two employees do not represent the majority of Dominos employees. Many of you have been striving to perform your job in an exemplary mannor. To recognize good character and work ethic, each store has the opportunity to name an employee who displays these characteristics and motivates their teammembers to also. Each name will be reviewed by the area supervisor and the employee will inturn be rewarded.

Domino's is doing everything we can to restore our trust and public image, and we know this video has affected you also. Please send any of your questions, concerns or suggestions to lasure_c@dominos.com

In our Internal Memo, we broke up the memo into sections. We have a bold description at the beginning of each paragraph so that the sections are easy to find and to identify. If you were to add these and seperate the sections so that the employees would be able to easily access each point you are making, it would be an easier read and the employees would not feel as overwhelmed while reading it.

Memo Comment from KFC

This document looks and works pretty well, however, my resources, and all the other resources I reviewed, showed the itroduction in the order of: To, From, Date, and then Subject.

The introduction paragragh worked very well. It was very concise and there was no fluff to distract the reader.

Also, the second paragraph had all of the needed background information without stating too much. The grammar and overall context is very fitting and the memo seems to be in pretty good shape.

Review of Memo

In the heading be sure to specify if this memo is going to ALL employees or just those that work in the stores. Also, the "From" heading should include the sender's business title. The opening is good and explains the situation well. You also tell what action you are taking against the employees and to correct this situation.
