Subject: Video Crisis Reaction

By now, you are fully aware of the disgusting videos posted on Youtube.com, filmed in a North Carolina Domino's location. Not only does this look terrible for this specific location, but also for the Domino's name. Actions must be taken to prevent our current, and future employees alike, from conducting such acts as those in the videos, whether filmed or not. Customer safety and satisfaction are our top priorities.

Employee Handbook Updates
Creating new and revised employee handbooks is a long-term step to help promote greater employee efficiency while also preventing them from and acting on those ideas like those in the videos. These changes will include:

Revised code conduct
Specific consequences for overlooking the rules

All of you will receive these new edition employee handbooks within the next six months.

The Hiring Process
Interviews are crucial for determining if a potential employee is right for the job. You will be sent documents with information explaining what to look for in potential employees. We will also be heightening the intensity and depth of our background checks. Dominos will issue protocol on how to conduct such background checks in the following weeks.

Kitchen Cameras
Dominos will distribute the necessary materials to reevaluate all locations' security camera systems. Any location that does not have a view of the kitchen as part of their video security system will be upgraded to include one. Domino's will cover any such costs. All locations with preexisting kitchen cameras are fine as they are.

Managers on Duty
There will be a manager on duty at all times, during all shifts. They will contribute to the daily activities that a Domino's employee normally would, however they will constantly be there to supervise. These managers will have the authority to fire "misbehaving" employees who practice un-orderly conduct.

CEO Check-ups
It would be next to impossible for one person to consistently visit all of the Domino's locations around the country- However, he will start conducting surprise visits to various locations in order to check and evaluate the atmosphere. He will sit in on the employees working and also make sure that the kitchen is sanitary, and then score the location and tell them what they could do better, if anything at all. No location will ever have a heads up on when he will show to inspect.

Sanitation Inspections
We will hire a professional to come in and randomly conduct sanitation tests on our food, kitchen, and even to make sure our employees are wearing the appropriate attire in order to be handling food. The employees and managers will not know when the inspections will occur, they will be completely random. This will force them to stay in line and keep the kitchen clean and the food fresh.

At Domino's we understand the importance of health, sanitation, and fresh food. We were completely shocked and disappointed in our previous employees and plan to bounce back from this crisis- whatever it takes.

Thank you for your time and effort in helping Domino's to achieve a speedy recovery.

Team Evan Comment

Our source agrees with you judgment in closing your memo with a short thank you.

Our source suggests taking a more friendly tone; one that might be used among colleagues.

memo response

There was inconsistent spacing in your introduction format. Overall, your memo follows along with the guidelines of our source. It was very organized and provided adequate amount of information to the reader.

Firestone Response

The opening segment and the task segment were both very well done. The opening segment outlined the problem and your task segment went into great detail of the actions that you will take.

The only thing I can think of adding is maybe something to express the legal issues that an employee will face if they act inappropriately. Maybe after outlining all the tasks you will take you could add something about the severity of the matter and the legal trouble one will get into. Considering the average employee you encounter at a Domino's, the legal implications of a this crisis would probably impact them the most.
