The Portfolio assignment gives you the opportunity to showcase what you have accomplished in this class. You may construct your portfolio in any appropriate medium (website, print, etc.). You are responsible for producing a portfolio containing two elements:
If you already have a portfolio site, you may incorporate this assignment into it. If you are using an online template, you must demonstrate significant modification of it. You will almost certainly have to change the format of some of the class projects to suit the medium of your portfolio. Overall, your portfolio should be professional and communicative—it should be a representation of your skill.
Jeremy will be in his office (HEAV 207) on the Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of finals week from 3:00-4:00. You must turn in your portfolio at one of these times. (You may make an appointment if none of these times works.) If your portfolio is online, you must email Jeremy the link to it before 4:00 on Friday.
The portfolio rubric is available here.
Completeness and professional appearance are the main components of this assignment's grade. Your work should be as impressive as possible. Doing the bare minimum will achieve a commensurate score.
The following online portfolios are from previous 419 students, but keep in mind that they were working under the parameters of a slightly different assignment, so their work won't be exactly like yours. That being said, there are still things you learn from them. All three received solid grades.
