Project 1: Coping Strategies for Conflicts in Student Groups

Submitted by admin on Mon, 2007-01-15 16:44.

The article "Feuds in Student Groups" provides ways to prevent and mitigate student group conflicts.

Preventive Strategies Available to Students (the three "truths"):

  1. Make the division of responsibilities clear.
  2. Don't blindly accept problems.
  3. Don't take responsibility for the happiness of others.

Corrective Strategies Available to Students:

  1. Reopen discussions about responsibilities.
  2. Confront the troublesome character.
  3. Reduce contact with the character.
  4. Don't let a Saboteur be responsible for editing or typing.
  5. Do all editing and typing as a group.
