Kelly Clarkson Website

I was looking for something that was directed more towards our project when I found this website. It is the "official homepage of kelly clarkson" and it is the first thing that comes up if you google her name.

When looking through the website I thought it was very effective. The store link takes you to a place where you can buy kelly hats and shirts and posters. And if you click on the CD on the right hand corner of the front page it takes you directly to amazon.com where you can actually puchase the CD and listen to tracks from it as well.

I think it also helps that it is the first site under the google search. Since you can't post a website around a college campus or in stores, a website can sometime be a difficult way to promote something - the audience has to directly know that they're looking for something similiar to that site. But if you're looking for anything about kelly you can google her and this site pops up and you can then go directly to amazon to buy her CD. There are also links to other fan pages and other places to learn more about Kelly under the links link.

When I googled Kelly Clarkson promotional material it took me to this link:

I could not find it from the links on the page but this is a very interesting promotional idea that I suggest looking at.

The other day when we were discussing the Seether website, some people mentioned how they did not like the music that played automatically upon viewing the site. On Kelly Clarkson's website I noticed that in the top right is a link that says Launch The Jukebox. This gives the viewer a choice of turning on the music at their own convenience instead of automatically playing and immediately trying to find the stop button.
I also looked at the promotional page which is interesting. They even provide incentives, such a poster, so that more fans will be encouraged to help promote Kelly Clarkson.smart.
