  • Print out two copies of your draft—one for me and one for the workshop.
  • Trade drafts in your group.
  • After reading another group member's draft, respond to these prompts in a word processor file:
    1. Who is the audience for this data map (in one sentence)?
    2. What is the context for this data map (in one sentence)?
    3. What is the purpose of this data map (in one sentence)?
    4. What is this data map's medium?
    5. What are this data map's major strategies?
    6. How is this data map arranged?
  • When you have finished, print out your file and give it to the author of the design plan.
  • Repeat the process with all of the group members.

Students should read what the other group members wrote about their draft. The purpose of this exercise is to determine how clearly your design plan communicates your ideas.
