I couldn't make it home last night, but I'll write this now. As for this week we tried looking back at the original site and saw how it was coded. We found the resolution it was aiming for as well as the basic layout and improper coding techniques. We looked through the pages source codes and decided how we could improve upon the layout of code and use it for the new layout are class is designing. We decided to use external CSS across the entire site to make it easier to code a skeleton and to provide comments so they could update the site later on if needed.

We consulted with the design group on both Wednesday and Friday to come together on how the layout for the new site will look like. They first showed us some thumbnails on how it might look, then on Friday they showed us a mock-up based off another non-profit website that looked good, but they couldn't decide on a margin color, and we thought a more Earth tone would look better. The overall site looked good and was doable on our part.

On Friday we found the original site had gone down, and while going to retrieve it through the Wayback Machine of Archive.org, we found their first website and thought the layout was better than their current one, so we plan to ask why they changed so much from the first website.
