Week 13 Blog

Week 12: I forgot to do one for week 12, but during this week I made thumbnails. I discussed possible website layouts with my team and then proceeded to lay my ideas down on paper. On Friday I decided that I would also design a layout for the website and make that into a color comp for consideration.

Week 13: I spent Sunday afternoon designing my layout for the website, which better became known as "Mockup Design 5" or something of that nature. I tried to combine several of the elements that we as a team had decided were important in the design but also give it a new and advanced technology sort of look. I used Photoshop CS3 as I have had the most experience with this software and if my design were chosen it would have been very easy for me to break it down into its different graphical elements. I felt that my design was probably the best design choice, and I believe most of my team did as well, but the organization picked another design. Friday I spent the class with my team sorting through pictures that we can edit and use on the website. I tried to help my team expand our selection choices to include pictures that were not necessarily the best but could still be used to illustrate the kind of helpful and caring place this organization is.
