Last weekend, I was busy making some more mockup designs. I made modifications to the original mockup one design that Tyler created (Google doc’s title “mockup design 2”). Most of the modifications that I made to this design were arrangement and layout changes. I also used the same color schemes that I had used on the first mockup on this modified mockup. I also created two more mockup designs (Google doc’s title “mockup design 3”). One of the mockup designs that I created was based off of a more traditional website layout. I created another mockup based off of the one that I created. With this other mockup, I changed the arrangement, and added some more visuals to that mockup. I didn’t produce other color schemes for these two mockups, but the colors could be easily changed. I used more neutral colors with these two mockup designs.

On Monday, the design team discussed what we liked and disliked about the new mockup designs. We looked at all of the mockup designs and provided comments about each one of them. We shared the mockup designs with the class after we discussed them. We also communicated with the front end coders, and we discussed the new mockup designs.

The design team was at a halt until we heard back from the client. On Wednesday, the design team looked for creative common’s stocked images.

After class on Wednesday, I created a document that listed the current links that the CFRC’s website used. I added my comments in this document on how I thought we could make it better. I shared this document with the rest of the design team so that the rest of the team could add their comments on how they thought that we could make the CFRC’s website’s navigation better.

On Friday, we looked at the picture cd that the CFRC had supplied us. I took notes on the pictures that we thought would work on the website. Tyler is going to finish looking through the pictures and organizing the pictures that would work on the website. Depending on the size of the file, Tyler is going to send us the file of the better pictures or burn a disk so that we can have those pictures to edit.
