Design - Week 13

Over the weekend I worked on yet another design mockup. I used the client’s old website for reference in creating it. I relied on the content and information from the site and made minor changes to the layout and colors. I also changed the fonts as they were hard to read and not very visually pleasing.
Monday included the team working together to discuss mockup designs. We went through each mockup commenting on likes and dislikes of each design. We also showed all the designs to the rest of the class and received comments and possible tweaks. We talked to the front end coders about any issues they would have with any of the potential designs and went through working out the problems, and how the graphics would work. At this point we were kind of stuck. We had to wait for the client to pick a design before further content could be created.
Once Wednesday came we were still waiting on the client’s feedback and were unable to move on with any graphics without guessing which design the client would pick. As a group, we went through stock images discussing what type of images would work for the website and researching if some were free to use.
After receiving notice that the client has picked a design I went on to start creating preliminary graphics for the front end coders. Friday I was unable to attend class due to some repeating medical issues.
