Week 15 Blog

LazerJ1 — Wed, 12/03/2008 - 16:08

Week 15 Blog: The manage directory page has started the development phase. This is based off the asp 101 webpage which contains the code that David showed me in class. This code can be sent images or file directories. This should be as easy as just setting the directory variable equal to the directory that houses the documents. Today in lab however, made it difficult to get any of this done so this will have to be completed sometime between now and Monday, which is when our testing begins. This will allow employees to post new documents to be viewed on the server. Eventually this will allow upload and delete functionality for employees. This will display the file structure of the documents that are uploaded to the server and allow users to view the documents. As request by the front-end team the main login page and admin login pages will be redesigned to have a more logical and focused feel to them. I am still somewhat confused by exacttly what they want out of these two logins since the site at the moment is having a member login for causual users and an admin login for the admin to edit and update the website.
