Week 15

noles32 — Fri, 12/05/2008 - 15:43

Week 15 proved to be a very challenging week for the frontend coders and I. While implementing our code with the design layout, there seems to be a new problems lurking. As the deadline of a rough working website on Monday approaches we find ourselves buried with problems. Without the growing problems the home index page is completed (minus the working links to each corresponding site).

Unfortunately due to a dentist appointment I was unable work on the website on Monday. The frontend coder was able to build a CSS file to incorporate to the website. This will help make it easier and faster to adjust our codes. Wednesday we fell behind a little, due to a server lock up which enable me or the team to continue working on the website. Before the server crashed, I finished the secondary layout for the remaining pages.

On Friday I found a new problem to the site that we were missing links that were on the original website. There are little more than 20 links on the website overall. On the floating menu we have now it will look very crowded, messy, and unprofessional if we had all the links visible at once. We will have to code a “menu tree” in order to have all the links with the proper design look.
