On Monday, I showed the design team the images that I had cropped over the Thanksgiving break. We figured out the size of the banner and the size of the images. This allowed us to crop and resize the images to the correct size. I then took the volunteer image that we decided on and I added the text “Volunteer” to the image. I used the same type style that was used in the mockup design. I also provided Chris with my cropped and retouched donation image so that he could add the text to that image.
On Wednesday, the computers went down and we didn’t get much done. I was helping Tyler with the homepage banner before the computers went down. After class on Wednesday, I went through the CFRC’s pictures and looked for other pictures that could be used as the banner. I found six images that I cropped and adjusted the color. I did not know the size of the banner so I left them the original size until I found out what size the banner was.
On Friday, I showed the design team the images that I picked out that I thought would work for the banner. We decided that we could resize all of those images to have to use for the banner on the other subpages of the website. I gave Pat and Cody the images that I had cropped so that they could reduce them to fit the size of the banner. I gave Chris the other images from the CFRC that I had not cropped so that he could pick out a few more images to crop for the banner. In class, I was able to crop and reduce the size of two of the images for the banner. Tyler also saved the banner files onto my usb drive so that the files can be given to the front end team.
