Kevin Parkerson Week 15 Blog

This week has been much different than previous weeks in that our organizational team had to focus on helping frontend with some of their tasks. Due to various unforeseen problems, frontend was behind in their progress on Monday of this week. As such, we decided a one-day classroom focus would be needed to get them where they needed to be. By unifying the class as a whole we were able to successfully get frontend up to where they should be in the gantt chart. My part in the process included coordinating the effort between the various teams involved and also doing some of the tasks myself, among those being figuring out the required x y coordinates of the div elements and altering some of the frame code. By the end of class our progress on the site was returned to how it needed to be and we continued as planned. On Wednesday we found the frontend had continued along nicely, and a usable site was finally becoming realized. Still, by overseeing different groups I managed to find that documents and testing needed a usable site by Monday of next week in order to test everything effectively. As such, I proceeded to convince the class to come to an agreement on having the final, workable website finished by Monday of next week. On Friday, progress seemed to be a little less than I’d like to have seen, and since few backend members were in class, it was hard to know what was being done. I helped send an e-mail to backend to find out where they are at and what they’re plans are for the website due Monday, and hopefully they will respond soon. Beyond that nothing all too exciting happened Friday. Hopefully, backend and frontend will have something for us to work with on Monday.
