A final push

Thus far, we've made pretty big advances in the site, yet there's still a lot to do. As it stands, we have the template down for the basic pages, and now it's a matter of getting the content into the pages, as well as getting the links working, and all of next week can be finishing touches. It's going to be a close scrape, but I think we just might be able to finish it in time.

Right now, it's a matter of the floating menu. While that works and all, we need to make a tree menu so that the links fold out kinda like the original site did. This is because the current menu lacks several of the links, and adding them all would really make it cluttered, so we decided on using a Javascript code tree to get it to work the way we want it to. The original site had redundant code in that you click on the drop-down box and click on the header, like South Side Center, and it brings up a page with the links that are already on the drop-down menu. We're currently deciding to eliminate this page altogether, what with it being redundant, and really, we don't need the menu to fold out and display on the content side at the same time. If the user wants more information or a summary of the subheader, he would benefit from actually clicking that option. Easy, right?

So, all we really have to do is get the barebone stuff down and we can start testing. Once that phase is complete, or rather, while it's being finished, we can start putting in the real content to each page and further test the links and ensure that we didn't break anything. With that, I think our portion is done, and we can get the rest of the teams up to speed and turn in the final project to the client.
