Please respond to the two prompts below in a comment:

  1. Offer one question about the portfolio assignment.
  2. What would be the most productive use of the portfolio workshop time for you? (Would you like some instruction about web design, or print design, or just time to work, or something else?)

To display our website from project one, do you want a link to the website or do you just want a screenshot of one of the pages?

The most productive use of my time would be to have a workshop so we can work on the portfolio.

1. Do we have to make a design plan for this project?

2. I would really like some time to work in class.

1. How is this being graded? It is marked as 10% of our overall grade, but there is no rubric or criteria for the assignment.

2. I would like to see a couple of examples of what previous classes of done.

If we created a physical portfolio would be able to get it back from you?

nickd | Tue, 2007-04-24 15:58

1. For the first project, should we also say it was a group project and what we did as part of the group.

2. Some work time on portfolio for this class so we don't have to spend too much time during finals week on it.

jkung | Tue, 2007-04-24 16:05

1. For the statement of what we learned, do you want it to be a word file that is linked, or one that is a page on the portfolio site (assuming we do an electronic version)?

2. I would benefit from some web design workshops

question: what is your grading rubric for this assignment? What exactly are you looking for?

I would prefer print design instruction for next class because occasionally I get lost when I adjust a margin in word. I would have no idea what I could use or what it could do for my portfolio. Also I would prefer this over web design because there are online tutorials available for web design everywhere.

1. Is there a required length for this portfolio?

2. I would like time to work, with assistance available if necessary.

1. Does anyone have any ideas of how to showcase the work from the CD project? Would we have to include the first project (the group website) in our portfolio?

2. I think some instruction on web design would be useful.

kfillenw | Tue, 2007-04-24 16:00

I would also like to see some examples of how others have done this.

1. If we prefer NOT to do an online version of our portfolio, how would you want us to go about representing our projects? With Project 2, would you expect the CD case itself to be a part of the portfolio?

2. I would prefer to have time to work in class.

mgrider | Tue, 2007-04-24 16:00

1. I don't have any questions at this time.

2. Time to work

slmcnutt | Tue, 2007-04-24 16:02

I think that work time would be the best use of Thursday.

trutherf | Tue, 2007-04-24 16:10

Somebody else has asked my question. I just prefer time to work on the project for next class.

Sbudnik | Tue, 2007-04-24 16:03

I currently have an online portfolio. I have done two websites in this class and am not sure what the best way to present them would be. What other ways could I present them aside from posting the links?

I would use the workshop as time to get started on the portfolio.
