ROBERTS Work Blog Week #8

This week was focused on details. I reviewed the revisions and suggestions by both the client and Mr. Tirrell. In addition, I took the revision suggestions and comments from my peers into consideration while revising for the final draft. This week my group had a meeting on Wednesday. During this meeting, we were able to set the plan for the completion of the project. For example, who is going to do what, and what direction we are going to take in terms of revisions. One main topic discussed was whether to leave our submitted draft 2 a quater fold or return it to a tri-fold. This decision was a group consensus that we should change it back to a tri-fold so that the brochure was not overwhelming with text. I noted that in many peer reviews, they seemed overwhelmed by the amount of information in the brochure. Next, we decided what we were going to cut out and whether to reorganize. After receiving the groups consensus it was then my job to begin the format changes. I took the brochure from a quad fold to a tri-fold and rearranged the brochure based off what my group decided. Again, this was especially difficult given I was using Microsoft Word, but with perserverance I was able to get a starting layout for another group member to add design. I then sent it to him where he was going to add design and color. The brochure was posted and each group member was able to make revisions and comments. Finally, I converted the final project into a PDF document (making revisions so that it converted properly) and posted it. Overall, it was a very efficient and organized week for the project.
