BELIAKOFF Work Blog Week 8

Our team was really productive this week. Everyone was on top of their work and made sure to get it done on time so the next person could work on their part. Ultimately our final draft was done with a lot of time to spare; this allowed us to have plenty of time to make final adjustments. In addition, our group communicated very well via the wiki, updating what they have been working and commenting on the work of others. As the final person to assemble the draft this made it very easy for me to make sure I was working with the most up to date version and that I knew what everyone had changed and would like to see in the final version of our brochure. My main responsibility was to make sure that everyone’s changes fit into the design of our brochure, and to make the final stylistic touches to make our brochure look professional. In addition, I also proof read all the text and made sure its sounded the way we wanted and that the necessary changes were made with regards to our feedback, which I believe is something that we all did. One of the major things that I had to do this week was change the color scheme a little bit to make sure that it was readable and had more of a Christmas feel. This wasn’t too hard to do because there were some colors that other team members had suggested so I worked with those. The biggest challenge was converting our brochure from a quad fold back to a tri fold, it took some time to rearrange everything, but I agree with the decision to condense the brochure and feel that it is a more effective document now.
