This is a position for an internship at Siemens Building Technologies in Buffalo Grove, IL. The responsibilities of this intern will be to complete various tasks and projects that are assigned in a timely manner. To prepare reports, research, proposals and charts using computer generated software. To help team members plan, organize and implement project activities. If needed to update, organize, and conduct data-entry. At the end of the internship program there will be a final project assignment and presentation that the intern will be presenting.
I chose this position because the intern that is hired will be working in many different parts of the organization such as Accounting, Finance, Communications, Information Technology or Administrative and will be able to experience each department. The intern will get experience in each department and will be able to really see which area they would like to work in when it is their turn to find a career. As of right now I am pretty open with my career chooses I really don’t know what kind of job I want or if I want to work in Information Technology or Communications so I think this internship would be best suited for me because it will give me a taste of each department at Siemens Building Technologies and really allow me to discover where I am best suited. It will allow me to discover my options while learning and working for a wonderful company.
I believe that I am qualified for this internship position for many reasons. One reason is that I qualify and exceed all of the criteria that is listed in the job ad. First of all that is the most important thing because they won’t even look at person’s resume if they don’t pass the criteria that they are looking for. The second reason I believe I am qualified for this internship position is I work very well with people and on teams. I am a people person, I get along with everybody and I have a lot of interpersonal skills which I have developed from previous jobs I have had. This position is going to involve a lot of team work and I work very well with other people and get along with all kinds of people. Another reason why I am qualified for this job is, I am also a very good communicator and have developed very good communication skills from previous jobs. Lastly, I also am a very creative and organized person. My creativity and organization helps me at work on a daily basis. Overall, I am highly qualified for this internship position and can not wait to take the next step towards achieving my goal.
