1. Golf Course Maintenance worker. Fort Wayne Country Club in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Supervisor: Brian Chalifoux. Started working April 2003-Present (Spring to Summers Only). Requirements: Working hours: 5:30 a.m-1:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 5:30 a.m -8:30 a.m. Saturday & Sunday.

2. I have done various volunteer work, but nothing consistent and repetitive to list the details of.

3. I have no experience with internships or apprenticeships.

4. I feel the most beneficial courses I have taken have been COM114, ENGL420, MGMT200 & 201, CS235, and ECON251 & 252. Also I have done volunteer work for other classes that I have taken at Purdue that have taught me valuable skills of working in groups with new people. This is a very important skill to have for work in any profession. My communications class taught me how to effectively present myself in front of a group of people, which will help me out even in an interview for a job. My English course taught me valuable writing skills that I expect to be expanded in ENGL420. The other courses that I have listed above I feel have given my a good introduction into what to expect in my future business classes.

5. I have not received any scholarships or scholastic awards.

6. I feel that I have advanced skills with computers which will be very helpful because it seems as if most businesses are becoming much more technology based. Another characteristic that I have is that when I am faced with an activity I try to put my full effort into doing it the best that I can do, and if I am discontent with my work I try to learn from my mistakes and better myself for the next time that I am faced with a new activity. I am also eager to learn, so I will commit myself to something new and try to do the best job that I can.

7. I feel that I can be comfortable work with any group of people, and I don't like to discriminate against anyone. I try to pass a fair judgment on people before I actually get to know them, but I also know that if a member is slacking off, it should be brought to their attention. I can speak a little bit of Spanish. I am not fluent, but I can probably make my way through a conversation.

8. I feel that I have advanced computer skills. I received an "A" in CS235 so I feel that I have a solid background in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. These programs are all very useful in the business world whether it mean maintaining a database or creating a visual presentation.

9. With my projected job path, I feel that the best skill with a piece of equipment would be with a computer. I know that my career choice would involve a supreme knowledge in writing business documents so after this course I hope to feel much more comfortable writing.
