2. I volunteered in a children's garden in Bloomington, IN. I helped clear the garden out in the Fall and helped to plant crops in the Spring.
3. I have not participated in an official internship.
4. My COM 120 class taught me to get my ideas across in a public speaking setting. Most recently my AGRY classes have helped me further my turf knowledge. This includes setting fertilization and irrigation programs, as well as the calculations associated with them. I've learned to identify grasses, diseases and nutrient deficiencies.
5. I have not received any scholarships or awards.
6. I have skills including imagining new solutions to problems. In the jobs I've worked problems come up all the time and it is important to be creative in solving these problems. In the opportunities I have had to lead projects I can delegate responsibility well, and encourage others to perform. I have also been successful at networking with professionals in my field.
7. I have worked with people of all different backgrounds and ethnicities. I do not speak any other languages.
8. I have taken college level computer classes and I am comfortable with programs like word and excel.
9. Job related equipment I have experience include: all types of mowers, heavy machinery ( back hoes, bulldozers), pesticide and fertilizer sprayers. Also, extensive use of personal computers.
